Should I mention my learning disability on my essay?

I don't know if ADHD really qualifies as a learning disability per se, but it hinders my education. I am trying to transfer to Amherst, and one topic asks for notable challenges. This seems appropriate, giving that even though I am officially diagnosed with it (no self made diagnosis) I have a 3.88 GPA. But I am wondering if it will affect my chances for worse. Thoughts?

I would imagine it would be one of several hundred received on the exact same topic.

Ok. I guess there are a lot of people with that kind of problem. The problem is that if I were to be accepted, I would want to ‘benefit’ of their program for ADHD. It’s one of the reasons I am transering. But I don’t plan to base my whole application on the disease, so it’s all good. I can tell them once I’m in, right?

If you’re applying via common app, there’s a “additional information” section for things like that :).
