Should I minor in something practical and useful or something that I'm interested in?

I’m stuck as to whether I should I minor in Business or Film and Television. If I minor in Business, I’ll be taking classes like Managerial Accounting and Intro to Finance, where I’ll learn sensible information for my future. However, I dream of being in the Film and Television Industry. What do you think I should do?

BTW I’m thinking of majoring in Economics.

If you are planning on majoring in Economics, there is no need for a minor in 'Business. Take film and tv as your minor if that interests you. You will always have econ to fall back on.

It’s ideal if you can find something that encompasses both, but if not, pick what interests you. This is your time to study things that you have a passion for, not just career preparation. In some ways, it’s actually more practical anyway because it can help you stand out as an applicant. My sister is an art history and accounting double major. More than once she’s been told that she has an edge compared to all those accounting majors who have the usual major/minor to accompany it (e.g., finance, economics, marketing).

You can minor in film and television and still take the classes in accounting and finance, if you want. Unless your university restricts you, you don’t have to be a major or minor to explore different fields and take classes.

If you are planning on majoring in Econ already, then go ahead and minor in Film and TV. You can take an intro to accounting class without being in the minor (most likely, I doubt schools would restrict basic classes like that) and Econ will already be pretty practical, although your mileage may vary depending on what school you go to.
