Okay, so I'm scheduled to take the SAT for the first time on March 12, and I'm really starting to freak out. I have approximately 20 days to prepare myself, and I don't know -I'm just really nervous, I guess. Do you think that is a reasonable amount of time? I've kinda been practicing, and I did a practice test, but...idk

If you’ve already scheduled the test, I suggest you take it if you feel you’re well prepared. I was far less prepared than you are at this point when I first took it and sort of regret it but it’s all on you. Just continue to take practice tests, work on your weakest section(s), get enough sleep before testing day, and good luck to you.

Thanks! I’ve thought about it a bit since I posted (lol, it’s been about an hour) and I think it was just a minor freak out. I think I should be prepared by march 12, and I’ll definitely try to practice on a daily basis. Fingers crossed

Well, are you a Junior? If so, then be mindful of the amount of days you have left to take the SAT. I rescheduled one of my tests, and I regret it. I ended up not using the extra time as wisely as I planned, and in the end I just ended up losing the extra day to retake it. 20 days should be sufficient to go over the basics and take one or two practice tests. Then, you can see how well you do on the real thing. If needed study the sections you did not do well on.

Yup, I am a junior, and I don’t think May 7 will be an option due to AP exams, which will most likely have me stressed. I don’t think I would use the extra time wisely, either. March 12th it is. Thanks for your input.
