Should I move to a Texas public school from a charter school?

I am currently attending a college prep charter school in Houston, TX.
However, my mom has open the doors to moving to another Texas city (not guaranteed) which will probably mean going to a public school.
I think it’s a good idea, considering that sports are much more difficult and there are more AP classes available in average to high-performing Texas public schools.
I’ll miss my friends of 6 years, and I’ll be moving the summer after my sophomore year. I won’t have the benefits of caring teachers, school college trips (1 week spent touring colleges various regions), and an awesome performing college-counseling/student opportunity team.
I really want to take AP classes ESPECIALLY AP Comparative Government (amongst others), which is available at public schools and not my charter school, because I find it a critical class considering the two different career industries I’m considering.

Help!

The decision may depend greatly on what city you may be moving to and what high schools are available in the specific area where you move.
You must research this in order for you and your family to make the best decision about your education.

(Unfortunately not all Texas public schools are average- to high performing- therefore they may not have extensive AP offerings and rigorous courses available.)
