Additional Details

Also I am currently thinking about math/finance, but that may change by the time I apply to Engineering (you apply by school at MIT)

female URM- maybe
male- unlikely

that is just based on the people I know this year that applied and what there results were. Every year is different, and this year seemed particularly difficult to get in. Your admission year may be easier, but not likely by much.

However, you will not know unless you apply.

Your gpa man… It’s hard to say with those SAT subject tests not it. Also, you need that ACT way up

Slim to none, from our local cases.

You shouldn’t be getting your hopes to get in there anyway; no one is guaranteed, and there’s a reason that only around 10% of applicants get in.

Your ACT Math is obviously good, although the others are low: you’re far below the average English score, and your composite is around the 25th percentile. I’d take the SAT I just to see how I scored if I were you. You may do a great job and get 2250-2300+.

The rest looks good, although I don’t really see any extracurriculars that stand out. You’ll be up against those that have competed in Siemens, USAMO, etc.

Here’s something important: show why you love MIT in your essay. Make sure they understand that you don’t want to go there just so 20 years down the line you can say “I went to MIT”.

Very slim; you don’t present any significant math and/or science ECs or any significant math/science awards.

You obviously have a chance certainly, but I would expect a rejection.

Agreed with Cortana,
MIT is special in that it only looks for students with talent in technology, math, science, etc. Some of my friends who got into HYPS got rejected from MIT because they just didn’t have any “techy” ECs. Its kind like applying for Juilliard without having any artistic talent. That being said, you still might have a good chance at some other competitive schools, just not MIT.
