Should I not take my SAT US History Test?

Hi, I am thinking about not taking the SAT in US History because I know I won't be able to study for it. This is because I am taking 3 subject tests and I will be studying for the other 2 tests which are more important to me. I'm thinking about studying Math and Science in college. I'm not really a history person and I only registered because I took the AP class in it (which I scored 3s on the practice tests). I'm thinking about not taking it but at the same time I may just take it anyway to see how I do since I believe I can score choice that section.
What do you guys recommend I do?

Even though you’ve most probably registered for the history exam, you don’t actually have to take it. CB lets you switch subject tests without notice, so you can take the two subject tests, then take a third one other than US history.

Yea I know I can do it, but the question is should I do it?

same. i am more of a science and math person. im also taking us history but not focusing on it. you should just take it. if you do well then you got an exxtra subject test to count in but if you do bad then its ok. go for it. i have the barrons book and i got more than 50% wrong on it. and im still going to take it. you should too.

Lol same question here

Lol glad to know I’m not alone, I am honestly clueless about this history test.

Take it if you know you’re gonna get a good score on it. The purpose of the subject tests is to highlight which subjects you are best at. There’s no point taking US History if you think you’re going to get a 500 on it.

@rspence Actually honestly, I think that is actually how I will do but of course I really don’t know. I am barely prepping for this and I’m really just taking it just to see how I would do.
