Should I notify UCs that I DON'T intend to do any P/NP classes?

Would saying that I am continuing all classes with a letter grade make me look more competitive?

I don’t think it’s necessary especially since UCs said they would accommodate people taking P/NP classes because of the pandemic… I would just wait:)

^^^ agree. How would they even know? All they know is a course is IP.

No.
Why would you want to do that? Doesn’t make sense.

Some courses have attached “labs” that are pass/no pass. You want to change that, and ask for a letter grade, from a GA? If you get into a UC, with a quarter system, you will be stuck with those letter grades.

What do you mean we’ll be stuck with those letter grades I thought our transcript is basically new after we transfer out

Your transcript, from previous schools, follows you.

@“aunt bea” he’s talking about in-progress courses. They have no idea if he’s taking for a letter grade or not — and probably assume he is. There’s nothing he needs to alert them to.

If a course, such as a lab, is only offered P/NP, it’s impossible to change.
