I was accepted to Texas A&M but I am still waiting on UT Austin’s decision.
I spoke with 2 people at TexasA&M and one said that I should pay for housing so as to secure on-campus housing. Someone else told me that I had to pay 100$ for the student conference and then pay for housing-- have to fully commit and then I can secure housing.
For those of you who have waited to hear back from colleges what did you guys pay for?
You should immediately pay for housing at A&M because the deposit is still refundable. Unfortunately, you may have waited too long now. I don’t know but I would do it as soon as I could, if there are still spots. The Student conference you don’t pay until after you hear from UT.

The deposit, I believe, is refundable. Check the residence hall website. I was talking about the availability of on-campus housing, at this point. The housing gets filled up quickly.
