Please don't call me ridiculous or crazy. I've had to do it before to get things done.

I'm applying to Ivies, and thus the Subject Tests are critically important. I just want to make sure I do well, and unfortunately tomorrow I'm not taking two, but three. I'm getting really nervous, especially about US History. I just feel like I should study all night, eat a good breakfast, and then hopefully do better.

Does anyone think this is an absolutely horrible idea? From experience please. I mean I know its good to get a good night sleep, but I just feel like I won't have studied enough.

For goodness sakes these matter more than AP Exams to Colleges, I think at least.

By the way I'm taking Math II (feel comfortable), US History (nervous), Latin (moderately comfortable).

Honest I think you should get a good night sleep. I made the mistake of not sleeping enough for the May SAT I and I did poorly. However, history is a subject that you can do last minute studying because it's all facts. So it really up to you, but I think you will be jeapordizing your math and latin scores if you stay up all night. You won't be able to think straight for the math II, which is absolutely crucial.

yea math and latin require more thinking than history.

i guess the best thing is try and study as much as i can today, and then if i feel one of them isn't up to par i'll just retake it in november.

i know this doesn't look as good, but i think its a better idea.

Math II shouldn't be bad, especially if you are comfortable.

US requires more studying and memorization, but one night of studying will probably hurt you more than it will help. The extra hours to study are obviously appealing, but the lack of sleep could be detrimental to your scores.

I would suggest looking over some US practice tests and maybe some Latin ones. Then tomorrow, just follow trends and use common sense for US.

don't pull an all nighter...
your brain needs REM :]

thanks everyone.
your advice is appreciated.
i'll be in bed by 12, is that good enough? lol.

Haha. Yes. and eat a good breakfast. and bring a snack to eat in between.

I like food a lot :)

it depends on how much you can actually do in a night.

don't listen too much to the creed of "a good's nights sleep"...in march i played video games until 5am, went into my test center at 7:45am and got a 2400 on my sat

but what is important is to get that breakfast with a lot of protein adn whole grains beucase protein and whole grains keep you alert and lengthen your attention span

now thats impressive, if only we were all like that....
i could never pull off a 2400, close, but never the "perfect" score.

i mean you could if you're talking 1-2 subject tests...but for 3 or the reasoning tests, you'll need the sleep to get through it lol
