Over 1000 community hours.
Numerous award for piano and dance
Excellent ECs

What are your other options?

@Caliboy1234
Syracuse, baruch college, Fordham, Emory, and Rochester.

Please help. Do you know anyone who got accepted after reapplying?

What do you want to go to school for?

Try to find out why you’re denied.

I want to go for communications
Steinhardt

@4kidsdad
I think because of a huge typo on my activities.

If you wanna do communications, NYU shouldn’t be number one on your list. There are plenty of cheaper public colleges that would’ve loved to have you as a student. Look there before you volunteer to spend $250,000 on NYU

I’m saying, did you get accepted to any other schools as of now.

And what are you studying

I’m thinking about applying to universities as a transfer in spring.I applied to nyu in the past before and wonder if I should try again

@SugarBubbleTea I am aware of that. But I am from New York and I have to take care of my disabled mom. Thanks for your input.

@dreamerxoxo what about the CUNYs? Maybe Hunter or Brooklyn would be a fit for you? Much cheaper with a great education

@SugarBubbleTea thank you so much! I will def consider them as well. I really like Syracuse’s newhouse xD

Ohhhh I was assuming you got into others but was staying to try for NYU! Make sure the school allows spring transfer. Also, cover your bases, cause it will be your last chance to transfer

@dreamerxoxo Syracuse isn’t a state school. And Newhouse is as extremely selective when applying as a freshman. Roughly 8% of applicants get accepted. And transferring in is even harder. I thought you had to take care of your mother? Syracuse is very far from NYU. You wouldn’t be able to go home every day if you live in the city. And if you live in Syracuse, you wouldn’t be able to go home every day if you attended NYU.

@Caliboy1234 thanks so much! I’m thinking about being a part time student at my comm college this fall semester. Does it look bad to be a part time student?

@SugarBubbleTea will it look bad if I do part time at a comm college this semester?

Thank you all so much!

No, it won’t look bad. But do you wanna transfer to Newhouse or NYU or a CUNY? Are you a resident of the city? Because if you are, you are going to have to go away for school if you wanna go to Newhouse. And you wouldn’t be able to take care of your mother. At that point, you might as well transfer into a school with a solid comm program that would most likely accept you. The chances of you transfering into NYU or Newhouse are very low

@SugarBubbleTea thanks again!
