I wrote an essay for Northwestern and I'm not sure whether I should rewrite it because my sister said that the essay showed that I was naive and I didn't consider other viewpoints. If someone could please read it and give some constructive criticism I would really appreciate it.

Also, for the "What are your reasons for wanting to attend Northwestern?" question I'm completely stumped. What do they want? A list of reasons why I want to go? I want to go because I think the school is a good fit for me and I would really have a good time learning there, not just academically. But I'm not sure how they want us to approach it.

I really need help, so please reply to this and I'll PM my essay over

As for the why NW question, There are tons of things you can say but basically the best essays are the ones that are super personal. Some people will write about an experience they had when visiting, others about the ways they will utilize NW's resources. The worst is probably something along the lines of, it is a great school with lots of diversity and academic opportunities (without elaboration.)

Be careful with taking too many outside opinions - the essay needs to reflect who you are. Try showing it to a good friend or teacher that knows you well, and value their opinion over a strangers.
