I'm soon entering sophomore year in August and I still haven't started the application for Exeter or Andover (not available until September 2010), neither have I taken the SSAT yet. I was wondering if it would be best to apply as a Junior for Fall 2011 or apply as a repeat sophomore. (in other words would I have a better chance applying as a junior or a repeat)

(not sure if what I do would influence what I should apply as...but here it is anyways)

-I'm currently attending the state's best (nationally ranked) all-girls catholic high school
-I've always had straight A's and a 4.0 GPA since sixth grade, however, freshman year was pretty rough and only managed to pull off a 3.6 GPA.
-I've been swimming since I was six, but stopped for six years after I moved to the U.S. when I was nine. I've started again and am part of a "college swim club" on a Gold team.
-I've been playing badminton and am part of the school's Varsity team.
-I'm a student ambassador
-I write. both for my free time and my school newspaper/magazine. (i categorize it as a passion...)
-I've been playing the violin for about six years
-I've only started piano and only been playing for a year
-I've been singing seen I was eight, but never sang in a major institution like Carnegie Hall, only in school plays and recitals
-Both years of seventh and eighth grade I was an anchor for my middle school "News Station"
-I was also class rep in eighth grade
-Was part of the National Juniors Honor Society (NJHS) in middle school
-I was part of the yearbook staff as a photographer and editor in eighth grade, and I'm thinking of joining yearbook again this fall as a photographer (editors are only offereed to Juniors and seniors)
-I have a passion for drawing. I've had three sketchbooks full of sketches, pastels, and watercolour art work. However, I'm not sure how this matters since I've never actually submitted anything to a contest...

well, that's about it...hope you can help me with it. Sorry if EC's were unnecessary...
