I took the ACTs today, and I felt the proctor who was administering my test was breathing down my back the entire time. I noticed that she would only walk around only my desk, ignoring most of the other testers in the room. As such, there were two incidents that I felt she disrupted my test. First, when in the middle of my English test she was standing in front of my desk, watching me take my test. I even asked her if politely not to do that because it was legitimately distracting me-she still didn't stop. Second, while in the last five minutes of my science section, she was standing behind me while I was finishing; she even patted my back telling me there is two minutes left...I had a watch on and I already knew how much time I had left. Needless to say, I feel that the proctor had disrupted me during my test and I, along with four other people, think we should report this incident. Do you think this is a legitimate complain to report to ACT?
Thanks

Did you get her phone number? JK, if it bothers you or you feel it will affect the outcome of your test, go for it.

IDK, are you a minority or something? IDK why else she would do that, you can report it if u want.

Does your score get canceled? What exactly happens when you report a problem like that? I have a report as well, this girl in my class was blowing her nose so damn loud throughout the whole test. It was not once or twice I mean from the moment she walked into the classroom to the minute she left she was blowing her nose REALLYY LOUD. People were laughing and giggeling in the background. If I report this my fear is that they will cancel my score or somthing.

@coola426 yeah i am a minority and a twin, so i think she was excited to see my brother and me…but idk why she was standing by me most of the time.

I don’t want the teacher to know that I am reporting this, so can i remain unnamed? Also, do you think this is a legitimate report to send?

yea my proctor was a hard-ass *****. She cost me the reading section by not letting me(and like 5 other students) in when she was reading instructions after the break. Anyway unless it REALLY stopped you from doing well, then I wouldn’t bother, i don’t see the most that would happen anyway. I doubt you’ll get a score boost.

see you gotta looks at the benefits of reporting it: none and the bad parts of reporting it: you gotta fill out the form and they could possibly cancel your score

What im trying to say is that by reporting it, they’re either gonna cancel your score or they’re gonna leave it as it is… they’re definitely NOT gonna increase it so i mean it wont really help you in any way by reporting it

I was thinking that the ACT might give me a chance to retest

restest? lol… they can’t give you the test all alone… IF ANYTHING they’ll cancel your scores for this one and let you take the December ACT

I sent a complain to ACT about a 10-minute disturbance (someone was caught cheating and started arguing with the proctor) during my September test, and a month later, I received a letter telling me I could take a free test in either October or December ACT test date.

@feedback411 did they let you keep your September scores or did they cancel them?

Yeah i know you cant just take a test all on your own lol. I meant a test free of charge on a separate test date.
@feedback411 how does the ACT investigate the situations? Do they use your specific names, or do they just see if something actually happened? I don’t want the proctor to know that it is me specifically who is making the complaint.

If you really feel it affected your scores, go for it!
