Should I request Score verification?

My son took it 1st time in october 2016 then again march 2017. He did not study for the test in October, but studied for the March test in hopes for higher score. I don’t quite understand their scoring process. His October test was higher than March. The October test had more wrong answers and unmarked than March no unmarked plus more correct answers. I don’t know if he should request score verification or not…He has not seen his score yet he is going to be so bummed. Plus part of his essay is missing

The curve for the SAT is always different.
I missed 0 on the Math section of the SAT in March and got an 800.
One of my friends missed 2 questions and got a 790.
One missed 3 questions and got a 780.
Another missed 4 questions and got a 750.
The curve is completely arbitrary & doesn’t carry over from test to test.
Just take the test again, score verification isn’t worth it unless he got a 1500 on his last test and a 1100 this time.

I have a related question. My son took the SAT in March and he signed up for Student Answer Service. I am wondering if the specific information about “questions on the test, the level of difficulty for each question and whether your answer was correct, incorrect, or omitted” is available online or will it be sent via mail later on?
