I took AP Physics 1, AP Biology, and AP World this year as a sophomore, and just got my scores. I scored a 4 on physics, 4 on bio, and 5 on world. I am very disappointed with the 4 on bio because I worked extremely hard throughout the year, had a great teacher, and was hoping for a 5. Is there any chance that they made a mistake while scoring, and rescoring my exam will raise it to a 5? I hope to attend a higher level college, including MIT or Cornell, and major in either premed or biochemistry. Will higher level colleges frown upon a 4 on the AP, even if I got close to a perfect score on the bio subject test and got good grades throughout the year? Also, would anyone recommend retaking the AP exam next spring? This year, I studied a lot for the AP, but noticed that there was very little content on the exam compared to previous years. I was just thinking that maybe next year it would be more content-based (which I am better at) than this past year. I am taking four AP’s next year (chem, us history, stats, and lang) and I am just wondering if getting a 5 on the AP chem would be better than overloading myself with retaking the bio exam. Even if I do get a 5, I do not plan on using it for credits especially if I get accepted into a higher level college. Thank you!
Accept your very good scores and move on.
I wouldn’t worry about it at all. Your scores are great! I would just focus more on the other, far more important aspects of your application.
