Hi all,
I sent in my transfer applications over winter break, including transcripts from my current college. We are on a schedule that has a shortened winter term, which took place after I had already sent my applications in, and the grades just got released today. My GPA went up significantly (yay) so my question is, do I need to get my official transcripts resent or can I simply write a letter to the colleges and explain that my GPA has changed? I didn't wait to send the transcripts before because I didn't know when winter term grades would be released and the deadline is March 1 for many of my schools. Are schools going to see this (sending two transcripts) as a lack of foresight/carelessness?
Any advice would be appreciated (I'd prefer not to spend the money to get transcripts resent)
Thank you!

Just send the 2nd transcript. They will see its more recent.

I doubt the first thing they will say is “This person is irresponsible.”
