Should I retake 2180 SAT?

To give context, I’ve taken the SAT twice.
1st time, June after sophomore year, I made a 1900. (Don’t ask my why I took it then, I was trying to get ahead of the game).
2nd time, January of this year (Junior year), I made a 2180: 680CR, 780M, 720W.
I’m applying to ivys, with top choices being Columbia SEAS or Cornell, to keep things in perspective.
I don’t mind taking the SAT again, I wanna shoot for a perfect score on the math and I know I can do better and want to show that to colleges. I just want to make sure it won’t look bad on me to do so. I want to shoot for 2300+
I also made a 34 on my ACT, but for example Georgia Tech (instate top school for me) takes your highest SAT writing or ACT combined English/writing, which for me would be a 720 or 32. I feel like I can do better on SAT writing and I really want to improve my CR.
so basically, id like to first know if a retake is necessary, and secondly know if it will look bad to colleges if I do retake. Thanks all!

bump

The SAT is a tough call, but with a 34 SAT, Id advise you not to retake either. Put that effort into apps instead. 34 is high enough.

Agree with above. Stick with your ACT score and work on your apps. Good luck!

Take the ACT again. You can permanently Delete any ACT scores you don’t like. You never know. You might hit C35 or C36!

but, if you will be applying to colleges this fall, you have to remember how busy you will be. what good is a 36 if your essays were rushed and average.
