I just got 2330 in the may test, CR800,Writing770,but only 760 on math, should i retake the test???

You have a nearly perfect score. And thats awesome. Do you really want to spend another saturday taking a four hour, ten section test? There is a good chance that you won’t get the same scores in writing and CR, just because 1, those scores are impossible/really difficult to improve, and 2, because each test is different and your score is going to vary a little bit (they say if your getting 800s, your “score range” is a 780-800). So I wouldn’t. Those are still amazing scores.

no. A college admission officer once told me, “Once the kid breaks 2300, they should concentrate on other things for their app.”

If your worried about your math score I would suggest just taking Math II if you can, it seems thats the area that your most concerned about.

dude, seriously? 2330 and u want to retake? =/

wow im jelly… why would you retake it, that’s an excellent score!

I’d go with the hold-if-above 2300 policy. It seems to be a widely held opinion among adcoms.

Does this “policy” hold true for single-sitting >2300s, or for multiple sittings with the highest scores being 2300, too?

What would this threshold be out of 1600?

stop fishing for compliments. “only 760 on math”, most people that take the sat would die for that score, even most people on this website dont get that high, and their some of the smartest people in high schools (btw im not one of them lol)

There is definitely a lot of room for improvement, especially in Critical Reading.

No, you really don’t need to. However, you seem to be feeling insecure about it. So, you can take math II or – IF this was your first time taking it – retake it, once. I really wouldn’t do that and I don’t think you need to, but I also don’t think it would hurt if you take it a second time and do better.

You can get a 760 in Math with one wrong on some versions. So you can keep getting 760 every time you take it unless you take 10 practice tests and make no mistakes each time before you retake.

These kinds of threads are pointless. Why would you waste valuable time trying to retake a 2330? There is absolutely no point. Unless you’re obsessed with the SAT or something.

If you retake it, can I have your 2330 score? LOL

i think your critical reading score is a little low. i’d retake

No
10char

Don’t retake, unless you’re dying to have a perfect score or something…

LOl-- improvement on the critical reading. Maybe needs improvement on critical thinking ;)

No, do NOT retake. Seriously, anything above a 2300 is good enough. No college in the us will reject you for your scores. Besides, the chances of actually improving anything are very low- even if you study intensively, there’s not much room for improvement.

You wish you got 2330. ■■■■■

maybe u shud spend the rest of ur life studying for SAT if you want to get perfect… after all u already spent like 3 years prepping rite?
