Should i retake a 2200 superscore?

I have taken the SAT's three times.

May: 730 M
660 CR
700 W

October: 710 M
690 CR
720 W

November: 700 (what the *?)
650 CR (what the *?)
780 W (YES!!!)

So 690 + 730 + 780 =2200

Should i retake one more time to get 800 on M? If it helps i have a 800 on MATH SAT II's

=) no =) i think

Was it an 800 on Level 1 or Level 2?

Because if you got 800 on Math Level 2 you should definitely retake the SAT to bring up that 700.

is yale your first choice? (your username)
if yale were my first choice, i would retake with the goal of getting 2250+ in one sitting.
i would not be happy with a 2200 superscore.
but it’s up to you.

No! Three times is enough!! Put that time into buffing out your essays and maintaining (or increasing?) your grades. Speaking of grades, it is hard for me to personally advise you without knowing your current GPA’s as well as rank/decile, EC’s (to a lesser extent) and, most importantly, what colleges are on your wish list?

^Well for the first quarter i got straight A’s on a scale that is 95-97 for an A.

My GPA is 3.92 w/ the toughest courseload (i even self-studied one exam) I am also Sal of my class. As far as EC’s, I am very busy with those. I am doing research, acadmemic competitions and trying to prepare debate members for competition first time in over a decade.

I hear that if you take the SAT’s more than three times, then CB averages your subsection scores. So the highest score from each section does not work when superscoring in that case.

And yes, I got an 800 on Math II.

Yale is not my first choice. I am applying to BS/MD programs, with PENN STATE BS/MD being my first choice. I am going to take the ACT’s and try to pull a 35 or something this december.

I will apply to Yale as well.

^ No who told you that lol? (Cb doesnt average, you send which ever single sitting score you want via score choice)

A single sitting 2200+ is better than a super score 2200+

Retake for that single sitting 2200+ score, which could be pivotal considering the fact that you’re applying to Yale and Direct MD programs.

If Penn State is your 1st choice, then I definitely wouldn’t worry about your SAT score. If you just have to take another test then go ahead, take the ACT.

Do you know if Direct medical programs superscore?

^ He’s not applying to just Penn State, He’se applying to its MD program, which is much more difficult to get into.

Almost all private schools superscore, I’m not sure about direct programs, but I like I said before, you would rather want to get a single sitting 2200+.

Yale does not accept Score Choice. Harvard does, but Yale does not. I would hesitate before taking the SAT more than 3 times. The Common App leaves 3 spaces for it, as do most other apps I have seen. 4 might look a bit desperate, especially since your scores (in combination with your other achievements) are high enough.

Alright then here i come January, my last time!!! I am taking SAT II’s this december (Bio M and Chem)

Ok any other opinions?

Noothhhing? Okie dokie…
