I made a 32 Composite on the April 9th ACT. just got my score today, still no writing.
32-Math, English and Science
33-Reading

So close to a 33 =(, still happy with it though

I am just a Junior. Should I retake in September and try to boost my score a point or two?

I think so, but I don't know if im just being an over achiever.

what would you do?

If your goal was a higher score or you’d be happier with a higher score, I’d say go for it. 32 is a superb score, though there is nothing wrong with shooting for something higher.

You may want to check out the websites of some of the colleges you may be interested in to see what the requirements are for their honors programs (if that’s something you’re interested in) because they hover right around your range; for example, the University of Florida’s min ACT for the honors program is 33.

How many times have you taken it? If its the first or second time and you feel that there was one section you really could’ve improved on then go ahead and register and master that section. Otherwise if you already taken it like 4 time or more and you plan to superscore your ACT, it won’t look to great to counselors because you can focus your time on improving other areas now(extra curriculars, grades, volunteering, getting a job…)

If you DO plan on superscoring, make sure the institutions/scholarships/etc that you’re looking at even allow that. Some don’t (e.g. UF Honors Program).

The link is broken (because of the … ).

this was my first time taking it. Just wanted to see if i could maybe score a 33-34 to get some more scholarship money. I have heard that just by taking it a second time should somewhat improve your score. I was so close to a 33 also, had a 32.25

First time pretty good. I feel like you def can improve on each section. One of those sections should be one of your strong points, at least try to aim for a perfect on that section. Other sections just due practice tests and identify the problems your missing and how to correctly do them.
So ya go for a second time I’m sure you have potential to improve. I also feel like theres a bit of luck involved with these tests regarding difficulty of each section. I was so happy that the last test had one of the easiest english sections and that helped me raise my 28 English to a 33.
