Should I retake and what should I send? Sat or act

Alright, so I’m looking to take the pre med path. Just curious as to whether I should retake the sat or act or take subject tests (prob chem and math 2)

I got a 2120 on the sat
640 CR
690 M
790W with 10 essay
I took the sat again this November but I feel like I didn’t do that great. I predict high 600s low 700s for each section

I got a 34 composite on the ACT
35E
30M
36R
34S
29W

So should I send both the sat and act or just one? And if so, which one? Thanks!

Also, the November sat was my second time taking and the 34 act was my first time (so the 2120 was my first go as well)

If you have to choose one choose the ACT since your overall ACT score is higher and many schools don’t put as much weight on the SAT W as they do the CR and M. If your second SAT is higher than your first you will have the advantage of super scoring your SAT so that might be a great reason to submit both scores. Either way a 34 ACT is excellent!

@Ir4550 so depending on the college, I’ll either send the ACT or both the ACT and SAT? And thank you! Appreciate it

In general most schools value the M and CR more than the W. Your ACT is very high, much higher than your SAT CR and M, so I don’t really see any reason to submit your SAT unless for some reason a school on your list really values a high SAT W score. Honestly with a 34 ACT you have more than cleared the testing hurdle, if you don’t get into the colleges of your choice it will NOT be due to your standardized tests

@ir4550 sounds reasonable. Thank you very much
