Should I retake any tests with these scores?

I am looking at the Claremont Schools, UCLA, USC, Duke (reach) and Columbia (far reach).

Here are my scores as of the end of junior year:

ACT: 33 (E:36, M:34, R:33, S:30), Essay: 11

SAT I: 2110 (R:680, M:740, W:690), Essay: 9

SAT II Spanish: 690
SAT II Lit: 660
SAT II Math 2: 750

Any advice on what I should retake in the fall?

Well the colleges except your reaches will be completely satisfied with your score.

Duke and Cornell, on the other hand, may not. I would recommend taking another SATII in which you can get a 700+. The high 600s are good, but I would recommend getting 700s.

Your SATs are average (maybe a little bit below) for the overly selective schools. If you have a great overall application (ECs, grades, etc.), then I wouldn’t worry about it. If its an average [Ivy level] application, then retake that too, to get a 2200+.

^ Aren’t Pomona’s middle 50th percentile higher than Duke and Columbia’s?

I would say submit your ACT in place of your SAT and then try to get one more sat ii score above 700.

yea im wondering whether i should retake my math 2 also. I got a 750 on it and i think i can do better. I will be applying as probably a BME major so would that make any difference. my other sat ii scores are 770 in chem and 760 in us history. the school i really care about is duke since i will likely apply there ED.
