Got 640 on Bio SAT II...I just took AP BIo..i thought i did pretty well..guess not..should I retake?? but does that mean I need to study?? cause im taking ap chem & overloading myself next yr & i dont have time..
.
..but i wanna get into a med program!

I got my Bio scores back today too... lower than I had expected, especially after taking AP Bio. I think a lot of people assume that the Bio SAT is a carbon copy of the AP Bio curriculum, but from what I saw, there are quite a few important things on the Bio SATs that aren't covered in AP Biology (at least not in my class...), for instance, human hormones and some of the ecology stuff in the general section (before the split for molecular and ecology).

I think that, especially after taking AP Bio, you definitely could get that score up. What I would recommend would be to pick up a review book (Kaplan is good) and to just dedicate a few hours one weekend to study the stuff that you know you didn't cover in your AP Bio class. It's well worth it.

Good luck!

i took ap bio too and i only got a 560, blah, but i got a 740 on the math 2 one, so that's ok

I self studied for the Bio and got a 680 ( pretty decent considering that my last bio class was in 9th grade)., Anyways, I'm definitely retaking, not gonna stop until I hit at least +700

Wow is bio really that hard. Self studying got me a 790. I feel sorry fo you all.

Yeah, I took AP Biology and on the SAT II got 750...

First check and see if a certain cutoff Bio SAT II score is needed for the med program you're interested in. If it's not, then why do it over if you're going to be overloaded next year? Unless if you can dedicate the necessary time to studying, your score might just get worse as the AP Bio information fades.

Got 770 with AP Bio on Bio E.
