I was planning to send in my bio, chem, and math but I heard that many of the top colleges prefer you to show knowledge in a broad range of subjects rather than just science and math. Should I retake US history and aim for 800 and replace chem/biology with it? Or just send in the top 3 as is. I'm still planning to retake the SAT in october and possibly november

Colleges generally, however many are reported (whether by choice or requirement), focus primarily on the top two scores. However, if you are applying to a specific major or program, a score in that area would be wise. Your top 3 scores are good, but if your applications are otherwise strong/set, you could take another test in hopes of getting above 750. but honestly, your scores are strong.

There are very few colleges that require SAT IIs. I think only one still even REQUIRES three scores. You’re absolutely fine. It’s not as if you’re not also sending in your SATIs or ACT, right? You’re fine. Plz relax.

It is incorrect that top colleges want to see a broad range of interest in SAT II’s. Most of them specify that you take the subjects which are in your area of study. Specific schools within each college require specific subjects, such as engineering requires you to take a science and a math, business requires a math and so on. Check the specific websites of the colleges you are applying to and most likely you will see their recommended tests by major.
Your top 3 scores are good enough, you shouldn’t even send any more than that.

As of last year, no school requires 3 SAT2 scores anymore except for specific programs such as the Integrated Science at Northwestern. Nevertheless, submitting additional scores, particularly when they are above average, would not hurt at all.
