Should I retake if I got a 1900? (i'm only looking into SUNY schools)

my scores are
CR-610
Math-620
Writing-670

My scores seem higher than the average SAT score for the SUNY schools im looking at (Oneonta, fredonia, new paltz, etc)
BUT
it my GPA that im worried about.
it's an 88
and I only have 3 APs
how much higher than the average SAT score for the college can you get and still get accepted but have a lower GPA?
oneonta wants around a 90-91 : /

You should put a lot of effort into the next three weeks of school and next fall. You have the ability to get that GPA up to 90. With a 90 and your current scores you’ll have no problem getting into Oneonta and Fredonia. New Paltz will be a little iffier but you’d certainly be in the range. As you yourself said, “it’s my GPA that I’m worried about” so put your effort into bringing it up. (And don’t worry about how many APs you’ve taken; most of those schools care more about Regents exam grades)

Your SAT scores are fine. This forum makes anything under a 1500 look like a bad score.

You should be OK, your SAT scores are fine and gpa is fine for Oneonta and Fredonia, New Paltz has gotten a little more competitive in the last couple of years, but I think you have a good shot.

you might not need to but you never know, retaking the test wouldn’t hurt too much.
most people do better

hmm whats the difference between getting into suny’s and uc’s?
cuz if you were talking uc i’d say: good, but not for ucla, uc berkeley…
