Should I retake it? Is it worth it?

Hello! I am a bit torn at the moment. I got a 1970 in the December SAT and registered to retake it tomorrow. However, I've been extremely busy with my applications that I haven't had time to prepare for tomorrow's SAT. My weakest section was CR and since it's the hardest to improve since I need more than couple of days of study, I don't think I'm as prepared as I was for the December one. I'm only thinking to take it because it's my last chance to increase my score for universities but I doubt I could improve by much.

What do you guys think? Is it worth it? Is my score okay enough? I'm a bit obsessed with the SAT, really want to break the 2000s...

These are the schools I applied to:
Brown (basically the main reason why I would retake it)
Boston University (I'm from Boston, if that helps in any way)
Northeastern
U. Michigan
U. Minnesota TC
U. Wisconsin Madison
U. Maryland College Park
Penn State
U. Pittsburgh
U. New Hampshire
U. Oregon

THANK YOU

Take it again if you want. However, you probably haven’t learned TOO much more about algebra, geometry, grammar, reading, and writing since December.

I would take it again because

 1. Superscoring, so even if you don’t do as well, you won’t be affected
 2. You’re applying to Brown, so you would want at least a 2000 I reckon.

Best of luck!

Yes, take it again. If you feel uncomfortable about your score now and really want to put your best foot forward, go ahead and take it again. Like lboss1223 said, schools will generally take the best sections out of all administrations of the test you took, so it’s in your best interest to try again. Be sure to study for the CR sections thoroughly before taking it again though. Otherwise, you’ll end up with similar results.
