Should I retake Lit SAT II?

Hi! I got a 740 on the May 7th Literature SAT Subject Test. Is it a problem that my score isn’t 750+? (Since I’m looking at some 750+ kinds of schools). Should I retake the test? Or will that look bad to schools who require all scores and will see that I took it twice? Thanks!

I’m no college admissions officer, but if I saw someone with a 750 and someone else with a 740, I wouldn’t pick the 750 kid just because of the 10 point difference. This is only one piece of a much bigger pie, so personally I wouldn’t retake it.

My daughter also got 740 in Lit. I then had her take two different subject tests where she got 760 in each. Can you just bank the 740 and try for a higher score on another subject that you do well in?

Don’t bother. 740 in Lit is terrific–it’s not like Math 2 or Chinese, which have brutal percentiles.

Ok, probably won’t retake. Thanks for your help, guys!
