Should I retake Math IIC?

(didn't get many responses, so reposted in this forum)

So, my story is that I skipped the second semester of Algebra II and the first of Precalc - long story short. When I took Math IIC, I had only a rough outline of the math skills I needed to score well.

I scored a 750, which seems to be on the "great" side of the SAT II scores scale according to most posters. But I want to apply to top math/science schools (MIT, Caltech, CMU) as a CS major.

And when I took the ACT, I got a 36 (36E, 36R, 36S, 34M). I'm afraid that math will be seen as the weak point in my app if I don't retake.

My question is, should I retake Math IIC? I will be taking SAT II Bio anyway, so why not just do two tests at the end of the year?

I'm a junior in AP Calc AB, btw. And my mother wants me to sign up for all of my tests SOON, because she thinks I'll forget to do it later..... whatever.....

Do what you want to do. If you don't have anything better to do then take it again. You know if it is good enough for you so you make the call

Erm, if you want to be a CS major, then you ought to retake for an 800. I'm in a similar situation (740 math II, prospective CS major) and I'm retaking.
