Should I retake my ACTs

I want to go to the University of Pittsburgh main next fall

I got a 26 Composite score
26 Math
25 English
27 Reading
28 Science

I'm worried that my standardized test scores are going to hurt my transcript. Standardized testing has never been my strong suit

I have a 3.9 unweighted and a 4.3 weighted gpa

I have work expierence, numerous clubs, honors clubs, volunteer hours, leadership positions in clubs, and shadowing

I have done several programs for high school students interested in the medical field through UPMC.

I want to major in neuroscience or mathematical bio, since math and science are my strongest subjects.

I have taken these classes (Honors/AP) throughout high school including the upcoming year:
9th:
Honors English 9, Honors Biology
10th: Honors Algebra ll, Honors Chemistry, AP World History, Honors English 10
11th: AP US History, Honors Trig/Pre Calc, AP English Lang, Honors Physics, Honors Anatomy, Honors German 4, Honors Organic Chemistry
12th: AP Calc AB, AP Government, AP English Lit, AP Biology, AP Chemistry

What are my chances? Should I retake my ACTs and focus more on math and reading? I've take the SATs twice, but they aren't any better then my ACT composite score :( Standardized testing is not my thing.

Yes, you should retake them. ACT score of 26 falls below the 25th percentile in U of Pittsburgh. Besides your test scores, though, your GPA, courseload, and EC’s all look really good. Raising your test scores will help your chances considerably, especially if you live in PA. Best of luck!

Of course retake and only send your best score

You should definitely retake (not that there’s no chance you can get in without raising your score). Try the SAT too and see how that works out. Some people do a lot better on one than they do on the other. Study up!

Good luck!
