Im planning on going to FSU and I've already turned in my application since October but I recently took my SATs a second time on december 1st I got a relatively low score of 1450:( Online on FSUs website it says all information used to determine admission must be turned in by January 14 the second deadline. Should I retake my SATs or just go with the score i have now? im aiming for a score of 2000 or higher..do you think they will still look at my application even though my SAT test is on January 26??? im really scared please help:(

You have several serious deficiencies working against you. Firstly you’re in the second application pool which requires much higher stats to become accepted. Secondly your S a T score is way below average and does not even meet minim.um requirements. Thirdly there is no way to increase your SAT score by 650 points in a matter of weeks. I’d seriously consider the community college route for your first two years.

When super-scored, does each of your 3 SAT subjects meet the 500 point minimum requirement? If not, then FSU will not accept you. I know someone who did well on 2 subjects, but got a 480 in the other and was told there was no possible way to be accepted without meeting the minimum requirement. You could try taking the ACT–I know people who did much better on the ACT than the SAT.

If you have some AP/IB/dual enrollment credits, perhaps you can go to a community college until you have the 60 credits to transfer to FSU…it’ll also save you $$!

I know my SAT scores are low i decided that i am going to retake them
