Should I retake my SAT's? I got a 2120 (750 Math, 720 CR, 650 Writing).
Schools I am applying to: Umich, Cornell, UC Berkeley, UT Austin, UChicago, College of William and Mary, Georgetown, UCLA, Harvey Mudd, and UConn.
I know most of the schools I'm applying to don't look at the writing section: UMich, Cornell, UChicago, College of William and Mary, and Georgetown. I contacted talked to a UMich representative online and he said they don't look at writing section at all.

Unless you feel as though the scores you received don’t reflect your capabilities, or that you could do a lot better, I wouldn’t bother retaking. Spend the time that you would have used to study for the SAT instead working on other aspects of your application instead, such as the essays.

Think you should take it again. my s had a very similar score distribution and moved to a 2200. We think it improved his merit $ outcome at matches and moved him into the 1500 range which is probably the floor for top schools. he ended up in UM honors.

@quietdesperation, was your son OOS or in state? I forgot to mention, I am OOS for all the public schools listed except for UConn.
