Hi everyone!
I will be applying for sophomore transfer admissions for the fall of 2009 to the following schools (and most likely others):

Georgetown University
Tufts University
Washington University in St. Louis
Johns Hopkins University

My SATs in high school were as follows:
SAT Reasoning: 2120 Overall, 690 Math, 740 Verbal, 690 Writing
SATII: Math IIC: 660, Biology: 690, US History 770

High School GPA: 3.5 (9 AP courses)
College GPA: 3.91
Applying as a mathematics/economics major (one or the other or a double major)
Freshman at the University of New Hampshire as a Mechanical Engineering Major (I have forty hours of AP Credit so I am technically a sophomore here)

Fall 2008 Courses:
Calculus II
Honors Microeconomics
Classical Mythology
Introduction to Engineering Design and Solid Modeling

Spring 2009 Courses:
Multidimensional Calculus
Differential Equations with Linear Algebra
Honors Macroeconomics
Honors American Studies in Film
General Physics II (Electromagnetism)

I am thinking I should possibly re-take my Math IIC and my SAT Reasoning test. Any input would be welcome. Thanks!

sat’s taken after hs usually are not viewed in the same light as they otherwise would be…if you score another 150 points higher 2-3 years after most kids take it, i dont think it will mean much

that being said

it really does look like your scores are fine…glossing over your stats, you will be within the all elusive “realm of acceptance.” your stats will be about as competitive as anybody who gets accepted there, it will just be a matter of how strong your recs, essay, and ec’s are, i believe.

2120 is exceptional and you have quite a challenging course-load you should be fine. G.P.A. matters much more believe me…
If you think you can top your 2120, however, I would give it a shot because most schools only consider your best composite score.

Yeah, the bigger concern was my Math IIC score of 660 because I am applying as a mathematics major. I have a 100 average in Calc II this semester so I hope that might overshadow it. From the sound of it, I think I will be alright.
