Would retaking a practice test, like those in the blue book, help myself become more familiar with the SAT itself? I ask because at some point I think one would just memorise the answers to the test rather than learn from the experience, however I don’t want to run through all ten of the tests included in the blue book too soon.

I am personally against retaking the SAT practice tests, my reason is that the SAT questions lose their difficulty if you have seen them before. I think the best strategy is to take practice tests, review them, internalize your mistakes and what you learned and move on to fresh practice tests.
