Should i retake SAT I?

Howdy,

Cornell’s my dream school, I have really good grades and EC’s. But I have taken the SAT twice and here are my scores:
First Time: 560 CR, 690 M, 670 W
Second Time: 520 CR, 800 M, 560 W

So they’re going down… on the bright side its a superscore of 2030 but thats not much of a bright side in this competitive atmosphere. So my question is, should I take it again, or would cornell be turned off by my low SAT scores?
If i were going for liberal arts I get that I’d almost sort of have to, but I’m conflicted cuz I’m going for chemistry, so they might value my math score more than CR or writing… I have no idea what to do anymore

Below 25th percentile in CR. Math clearly just fine. :stuck_out_tongue: But being in the lowest group for any part of your app doesn’t look good.

Look… you need a 2100 on the SAT. Get at least a 620 on both the CR and W… they won’t forgive low English scores simply because… It will lower their average SAT and evidently their prestige.
