you might want to retake in order to increase you CR score. Having a writing score under 600 is also bad…for ivy league schools especially.

I know that Cornell really puts an emphasis on writing skills. Their mandatory writing seminars are mandatory for that very reason. If you were applying as an American student I would DEFINATELY tell you to retake them, I’m not sure how the standards for International Students are. How did you do on your TOEFL? If you successfully proved your English abilities, maybe it’s not THAT important. Although I would highly recommend retaking them if you can.

Good luck!

yeah I got my TOEFL scores back and I got a 116/120 (computerized). Is it good enough for an international student?

well your toefl is definately good enough… I still think that you should retake it if you can though. A 540 really hurts! Good luck!

yup..TOEFL is good enough for an international student.. Congrats for that!!

But u should still retake SAT.. I am sure 540 would hurt.. And especially for intl students applyin to ivies.. intl pool is really competitive..
