I've taken the SATs once, scores:
CR-740
M-750
W-710
I plan on applying to the most selective schools, what are the pros and cons to retaking my SATs? I think I can score higher, but would it look bad if my scores went down?

If you think you can improve, then go for it. Most schools do not even look at anything other than your top score in each section.

And since you only took it once, taking it again won't look like all you do is take the SAT.

I don't think I'd retake if I were you, just because your CR and M scores are solid, and most colleges don't really place much weight on W yet. Unless you are SURE you can score higher (maybe going for 750+ in every section?), I'd say you really don't need to put yourself through the SAT again. Work on other areas of your application.
