Should I retake SSAT?

ok so for SSAT:

verbal: 722 86&
math: 716 76%
reading: 704 85%
total: 2142 85%

im not sure if thats good or not, ive been looking through the posts and people are saying like they got 97% and im like seriously shocked. im applying to newark academy and pingry for 9th grade (i like newark academy better than pingry though). So should I retake? I've already registered for the jan 8th ssat but is it worth it to take it again? I usually get A's, except for one B in science this marking period and a B in science back in 6th grade so my grades are OK but will my scores hurt my chance to be accepted?

People getting 97%ile and up on their SSATs are generally applying to top boarding schools such as Exeter…Honestly 85 is fine and you are not lopsided either…your scores are generally even so no don’t retake it unless you really feel there is a need.

In my opinion, SSAT scores are nowhere near as important as actual grades in school. 85% is totalllllly fine.
I got a 71…

Wait Gabiiwoz, last year you got a 71% and got into Exeter ? Congrats!!

Okay thanks! I know that Newark Academy isn’t as prestigious as like Exeter or Andover or all the other schools, but I’m still going to retake it since my parents already paid for it and it would be a waste of $100+.
