Should I retake subject tests?

Ya so i didnt review at all, took 'em in june. so anyway i got a 660 on Chem, 720 on Math II and 710 on history. im probably gonna do bme or something in college so that 660 chem score (41st percentile) is pretty awful. im decent at chem too, i got a 4 on the AP test and an A- in the class. should i retake it or take physics instead and hope for the best?

Where are you applying?

I would retake Chem and Math 2 for sure.

As @DiscipulusBonus suggests, it depends on which schools you’re aiming for. If you’re aiming for Ivies or top unis and LACs, these colleges usually like to see 750+. So, if you’re aiming for those types of schools, you should probably retake.

Also note that percentiles don’t really matter to colleges. I’ve seen people with 790s be like “But it’s only 73rd percentile! Should I retake for an 800??” Yeah, well an 800 is 80%. Colleges using academic indexes don’t factor in he percentile of an applicant’s score, just the score on its own.

Best of luck :)
