I took the ACT for the first time in September.. I wasn't even going to take it at all because I was happy with my SAT score (I got a 2010), but Boston University requires the ACT if I don't take subject tests, so I had to take it. I got my scores back and I got:
English- 31
Math- 29
Reading- 24
Science- 24
Composite: 27
I'm happy with the English and Math scores, but I'm not so happy about the reading and science scores. I also heard that colleges mostly look at your English and Math scores anyways, but other people say they look at all 4 subject scores. I really don't want to take it again because I just want to be done with testing and focus on college apps and stuff, but if BU is going to reject me because of the scores, then maybe I should just retake it? And it is the only school out of the 10 schools that I'm applying to that needs the ACT. I don't know what to do!

I would if I were you. You can definitely get that score up in the 30 range. Just work hard on getting your Math and Reading up as those are two which can most times give you the fastest improvement.
