Well I have a 4.26 weighted and 4.0 unweighted gpa. I play football, have around 200 community hours (Tijuana Mission Club, Red Cross, meals on wheels, church). I am a leader of a Patriots club that raises money for war veterans and I am involved in my schools Public Relations club. I am also in the top 4% of my school. So, I got a 32 on my ACT and I am not sure if that is good enough, with everything else, to get into the schools I want to get in which are notre dame, university of chicago, washington university in st.louis, and pomona college. Do I have a good enough chance with a 32? I want to apply early action but should I wait and retake the test and apply regular or is a 32 good enough?

A 32 ACT is not exceptional at the schools you have selected. You will need to consider how much of an edge you get in applying EA. It is possible – and perhaps wise – to apply EA where it gives you a big edge AND to retake the ACT to improve your score, should you be deferred to regular decision.

With all your other accomplishments, your current score isn’t too bad. But there’s no harm in retaking the ACT (except a little change outta your wallet).
