Got a 760. 76th percentile. Was disappointed, but I’ll be taking physics and math 2… I’m trying not to beat myself over it too much, since I didn’t take AP chem…
Should I retake it?

No. It’s a great score. Your time is better spent on other aspects of your application packet.
@skieurope thanks for the reply! may i ask if you think a 760 qualifies somewhat for competitive schools? like top 20 and such… 'cause that’s what i’m aiming for, haha, which is why i was considering retaking…
Anything above a 750 does not warrant a retake, IMO, with the possible exception of M2 if applying for MIT, Caltech, etc.
Don’t get caught up with percentiles. It is important to understand that for several subjects, the percentiles are depressed because so few colleges request Subject Tests, that the ones that do are the ultra selective ones. As a result, it is the high achieving kids taking the tests. No AO is sitting on the floor cross-referencing scores with percentiles.
If you end up getting rejected, it will not be because of a 760. Good luck.
@skieurope thank you for your input!!
