Should I retake the SAT for Bowdoin?

Im a Vietnamese student interested in ED bowdoin this fall. My high school is, I have to say, the most prestigious one in Vietnam and I got fairly good GPA. However, my october sat ( my 1st time) is not good:
580 CR
800 Maths
700 Writing ( 10 essay)
I know my CR is terrible, far from the avr of Bowdoin. Do you think I should retake it this December for ED Bowdoin ( though I doubt I could make it to 700)? Besides, I think I’ll have 3 good SAT IIs ( 2 maths and physics). Would it help my chance a little bit ( in spite of my poor CR)?

Luckily for you, Bowdoin is SAT-optional. You'll probably want to send them your SAT scores anyway, though, to show off your high SAT IIs and your fine M and W scores. A CR of 580 isn't bad for a non-native speaker of English BTW.

Isn't a December test too late for ED at Bowdoin?? Bowdoin usually makes its ED decisions in the early part of December . . .

Oh they say the notification is due on Dec 31st, but I'm not sure about the time for decision making

Actually Bowdoin sends out ED acceptances around Dec 10-15 and decisions are probably finalized prior to Dec 10. At least that's been the pattern for some time now . .

Thank you guys a lot! What about the fin aid notification?

The financial aid notification accompanies the ED acceptance.
