Hello, I really need some advice.
I am debating on whether or not to retake the SAT and I gotta decide NOW!
I am currently a senior. I took SAT twice my junior year. The first one was the old one and I got a 1410/2400 in November 2016. The other one was the new version and i did better–1300/1600 in March 2016.
But right now I am applying to colleges and i do fall below the average for many schools. The thing is that I totally did not study over the summer and i am just afraid that i will do worse and will have to submit the bad scores. At the same time, if I do better, it will increase my chances of getting into better colleges.
I would really appreciate some advice! Do u think it is too late?
Are the colleges you are looking at score choice? If so, definitely, take it again. If they are not score choice then I would recommend you not taking it again, however, not only does it depend on if the college is score choice but you should take a practice test and see how you do. You might end up doing better than before! Therefore, you should find out if the college is score choice, and, once again, take a practice test to see how you do. I hope I helped.
Forgot to mention this, if you want to know if it is too late, it depends on the college deadlines. If you want to apply for regular decision, then it should not be too late for most colleges. Look at the deadlines to find out. Factor everything in and decide what you should do.
