I will be attending the University of Maryland, College Park this fall and I want to transfer to one of these 6 schools after my freshmen year:

Stanford
UPenn
UCLA
UC Berkeley
Rice
Columbia

Highschool GPA
Junior Year: 3.28 s1, 3.57 s2
Senior Year: 3.85 s1, 4.0 s2

My SAT is a 2040 (CR:640, W:660, M: 740)
SAT II's: Lit: 640, Math II: 800

Also my Classes in High School were all IB diploma classes

Hi, I am freshman of UMCP this fall, too, transfer is also one of my plans in university.

Personally, I don’t recommend you to retake SAT in college. Some universities announce that you are eligible applying for transfer without SAT if you submit your applicantion at sophomore.

Like Berkeley, for instance, is more focus on your college GPA(3.5 or higher), what courses have you taken(Berkeley requires all transfer student finish the general education), and how many credits do you have.

All in all, my opinion is SAT is really not the important point.
PS: forgive my bad expression, I’m an international student. :D

Penn Stanford and Columbia all accept basically no transfers so get that out of your head now
