I am applying to Yale under the Single Choice Early Action Program. I have pretty good SAT scores, 2290 superscored. (790 Math, 720 Reading, 780 Writing) My highest reading and math scores came from the second time I took the test, but my writing score decreased from 780 the first time to 720 the second time. Will this count against me? I'm wondering if I should take it a third time because I know I could maintain a high math and writing score and increase my reading score. On the other hand, I'm wondering if it would even make a difference or if taking the test three times would look bad. Any input is appreciated.

I don’t think you should retake them. Yale will look at your best scores from your two sittings. Take the time you would have used to study for a third SAT to further distinguish yourself in your EC’s and write some dynamite essays and short answer responses.

Don’t retake.

[No choice on scores | Yale Daily News](http://www.yaledailynews.com/news/2009/jan/16/no-choice-on-scores/)

Agreed ^…

Youre looking at 20-30 points at best to add on, i would say its just not worth it I mean thats not going to make the difference for you
