Should I retake the SAT??

So I just got my SAT scores back to day and I scored
CR: 640
M: 680
W: 690 (Essay: 8)
Total: 2010

This was my second time taking the SATs (scored 1830 in December). I know this is already a decent score for most colleges, but I kind of feel like I could do better.

My dream school right now is UCLA but I am also looking at NYU and a few other schools. I am wondering if this score is high enough or if it would be a good idea to retake? I'm kind of trying to combat a lower GPA (3.44 UW but with an upward trend).

Any suggestions??

I would call it a reach for UCLA, but I don’t think you need to retake it. NYU seems likely. If you’re a minority, it’s a plus. If you’re asian, then you won’t be getting into UCLA.

Are you a senior?

Yes, I’ll be a senior next year. I’m mixed race black and white, but I’ll probably just check black for college apps.

Check black and you’re in. I know most people refuse to accept the racial bias in emissions, but it’s hard to refute it. Especially since the “results” threads provide all the proof we need.

Just wondering, if youre black, why is your username India?

my name is India.

Would checking the box for black really have that much pull in admissions even with my low GPA?

Yeah, colleges have quotas for each race.
