Should I retake the SAT?

In one sitting I got:

CR: 690
Math: 800
Writing: 750

I want to retake it in October to get that CR score up but I plan on only focusing on that one section. Let's say I take the test and end up getting an 800 on CR but 600 on Math and Writing.

Can I just use score-choice/superscore or whatever it's called so that my 600 is negligible? Or does it actually matter how well I do in math the next time I take it?

I heard some colleges ask for all your SAT scores, will this hurt me?

I think it depends on the college. I believe most will look at your best score in each section.

Honestly, I doubt you are going to hit 600 for with writing for math. If you can hit those high numbers once, you can hit them again (unless you outright cheated or anything). But, if you have enough time before you need to start applying for colleges and know you can increase you reading score significantly, I would take it again.

Best of luck!

Why wouldn’t you take it? If you do better, then that’s good. If not, then send your best scores in.
