Ok so I took my SAT for the second time in december of 2012 and got a 2270 (800 M, 760 CR, 710 W). I love my 1560/1600 but my writing score really worries me. I am looking at mostly Ivy League schools and other very competitive schools. I was so proud of my score and I never even thought about retaking it until now. Should I start studying for October? I have great grades (4.0), great ecs (5 leadership positions and much more) and have done other great things over the summers which make me a pretty good candidate for the schools I'm looking at. I also have a 750 US History SAT II and I plan on taking Math 2 and Physics in the fall. I just hope my SAT isn't going to bring me down since everyone seems to want a 2300+ for such schools. Let me know what you think and thanks a ton to anyone who answers!

Your scores are good enough to get into any Ivy League around. I know multiple kids who got into Ivies with scores in the low 2200’s. Also it’s difficult to improve on scores like that and you really don’t want a third SAT with no improvement. I would focus on other aspects of your application and getting good senior year grades.
