I'm currently a senior debating on whether or not to take the SAT one more time.
I took the SAT only once (in junior year) and scored a 2070.
However, I also took the ACT(with writing) the same year and scored a 34 composite.
I am considering forgetting about retaking the SAT and just sending in my ACT score for my college applications.
Schools I am looking at include:UF, Duke, Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, and Columbia.

You can definitely retake it, but I wouldn’t sweat it too much because colleges take either the sat or the act, and you can choose to only send the ACT if you dont score what you would like to score on the SAT. My say would be that you are done with it, and shouldn’t care about testing anymore because the 34 is competitive for even the best universities in the nation.

Unless you felt as though you didn’t prepare enough for the SAT the first time you took it, or that something happened on test day and for whatever reason you feel as though you could now score better, I wouldn’t worry about taking it again. Your ACT score is much more competitive, so I would just send that.
