Should I retake the SAT?

Hi there. I'm a senior and an international student. I did the ACT and got a 29 Composite (25 Eng 33 Math 29 Reading 29 Science) and got a 1900 on the recent Nov 8 SAT (630 CR 740 M 530 W). I completely screwed up Writing. :(
I'm not aiming for the Ivies but I'm aiming for 4 liberal arts colleges - Amherst, Wellesley, Bryn Mawr and Mount Holyoke.

I know I should post my ECs and GPA, but judging by the SAT score I posted, should I retake the SAT? I don't think I can take the December test, so that leaves me with the January one. Might not be able to reach the admissions office in time though... Hopefully I posted this in the right section.

Double check the testing requirements of these schools. January is the last test date for most schools for regular decision.

As far as retaking, 1900 on the SAT is roughly equivalent to a 28 on the ACT. If you retake, either would be just as helpful if improved. Based on past CC discussions, some schools are suggested as being more lenient on the reading and writing sections for international students. However, international applicant pools are also competitive.

I am unsure of the average international student scores for these schools, but for US applicants I would recommend aiming for 2200+ and 33+ for Amherst, 2100+ and 31+ for Wellesley, and 2000+ and 30+ for the others, so that you are applying with a score greater than that of the average accepted student.

I apologize as I am not well informed on the international process, but hopefully this will give you a starting point.

Thank you! I have emailed the respective schools, but they haven’t replied. I’ll just retake the tests and see how things go.
